If the '01 age group iin SoCal consists of Blues Baker and then maybe 5-6 'others', is there any doubt that the Rebels are one of the others?

My DD is on the South Slammers '01 team, and I agree, Rebels are a strong team--fast, skilled and organized. Way to go Rebels!!!

Thanks for the shout out. Our lady Rebels really came together down the stretch and played very well. There are proven successful soccer teams in Socal and we are always thankful to have the opportunity to play them. Congratulations to the Slammers for making the final too. Incredibly tough and intense team! Looking forward to making Socal proud in Regionals!!!
 
Most of the players in this age group (high school sophomores?) are likely more focused on their players recruiting process. The activity and chatter about teams usually peaks at U12/13 and then gradually declines from there. For those left playing at a high level it becomes about college and YNT.

Congrats to the Rebels girls. It is extremely hard to win a state championship. Good luck at Regionals!

For many girls at smaller clubs (not DA / not ECNL), the path to college necessarily starts with team success.

Congrats to Rebels 01/02 team for winning CRL and National Cup as both are great accomplishments. I'm just wondering why now they have three girls from the Rebels 2000 team (who are 2001) as well as another player who wasn't part of that "qualifying" 2001/01 team to now be part of the regional team. If that team could qualify for FWR, why try and stack it by adding girls who weren't even part of the team that earned it? Same coach for both teams.

Perhaps not all the girls can make this trip? Otherwise, it doesn't make sense to take one who's already committed over another player who was part of the winning team.
 
Well done Rebels. This team should be strong for next couple of years with (3) 2001s playing up on a very good Rebels 2000s team.
