SoCal League - players movement

What is the policy in the SoCal League (formerly SCDSL) for players of the same age and from same club, playing in other teams in lower flights?
In other words, can field players rostered on a flight 1 team play in a flight 2/3 or even 4(!) team as long as the games are not the same day?
Where could this policy be found in writing?

There may have been a policy pre-Covid or for Spring league 2021, but I don’t think there is a policy for Fall 2021. I would expect the answer would be ‘no’ for league play.

UsClub league now so unless they have specific league roster rules the Usclub ones would apply.

Normally for USclub leagues players have to be on a specific team roster for each game. Within a club a player could be listed on multiple rosters but it's not like your adding and subtracting them per game or anything. Once there added they remain and the rosters have number limits.

What you might see is the core roster for each team and a few players that maybe rostered for another team also. Don't expect the kind of movement you could see in the old scdsl where you could just write in a player on the game day roster or basically just move players around at will.

So, in theory a few players could be double rostered to have more playing time opportunity?

Yes but the club, managers, coaches would have to all agree to that.

Easier at some clubs to get that done so for a few players that could be a possibility but don't except widespread use like what some did in scdsl.

When it was SCDSL, you could play for any team within your same club as long as you were the appropriate age (or a younger player playing up an age group). I have to assume that SoCal League will follow the same policy.

(Im pretty sure Coast Soccer League will only allow a player to play "up" a flight within their same club, but not down)

In "theory" - Yes.
In reality- Players get dual rostered to fill in for teams that dont have a large enough roster to support when a player or 2 is missing.

From SoCal’s Director of Operations:

“the DOCs will discuss and vote on this policy at the DOC meeting at the end of this month after which time it will be posted in the Rules but I highly doubt this will be allowed.”
