So you guys tell me who you guys think will get promoted to Ecnl first the Eagles or the rangers?
RANGERS PICKED THE WRONG PATHWAY for their girls...
Rare to have ECNL boys and GA Girls, West coast does but they are hanging by a thread....
2 pyramids right now, GA/MLS next or ECNL
Eagles for me....
I feel like the rangers could switch towards the mls next side in a few years. Because of their girls and because their boys have been invited to many of the events with mls nextRANGERS PICKED THE WRONG PATHWAY for their girls...

I think MLS Next makes a lot of sense....maybe the MLS Next 2 league to startI feel like the rangers could switch towards the mls next side in a few years. Because of their girls and because their boys have been invited to many of the events with mls next
Rumor is Rangers leaving ECNL RL for MLS Next 2...one domino...my guess now is Eagles stay for one more year before making a move.I think MLS Next makes a lot of sense....maybe the MLS Next 2 league to start
I still say that's unlikely. IF ECNL is punishing teams for going MLSN, the girls program at Eagles has too much at stake to rock the boat, and in any case Eagles will be in the shadow of MLS in the Conejo and Ventura. Further, MLSN has stated they want to avoid happening with MLS2 what happened to EA where it got watered downed (hence why they didn't just take all the EA clubs and convert them to MLS2 even though some questions have been raised regarding Oaks, Juventus, LASC and the Bulls). The Eagles boys program is likely to suffer a bit of a drain as a result if they don't get ECNL status in the next few years (now with both Ventura and Oaks having MLS2 teams....just too easy now for the better but not best players to commute whereas before they'd have to go down to LAFC Socal to play ECNL or Santa Monica to play EA). Assuming SoCal Elite doesn't implode, it makes the decision of leaving SoCal elite out even harder to justify (unless you want to go down the EA route and start opening it up). And rumor has it that both LASC and Red Bulls are struggling with coaching hiring, field access, and financing of the rapid expansion it took them to add first MLSN and now MLN2 (LASC has responded by branching...wondering if they'll be a new mega club down the road)....some of those teams will be struggling against more established ones like Strikers or LA Surf & Albion (which are having to combine teams into MLS2) ....it will take time for things to settle down in the new League so there will be irregular play for some time to come as players sort themselves so it's unlikely MLSN will want to add pressure at least here in SoCal where the league is already robust to start.Rumor is Rangers leaving ECNL RL for MLS Next 2...one domino...my guess now is Eagles stay for one more year before making a move.
I agree the Eagles have to proceed with caution but Rangers made first move which was not a surprise. MLSN wants to put the hurt to ECNL at the moment and I think see Eagles as a target for them. They also aren't as concerned with geographic competition that ECNL tried to avoid. Also, as I mentioned they aren't in love with Fusion and I think see a better pathway with Eagles. That being said Eagles are almost an "all in" ECNL Club with girls RL/NL Boys Pre ECNL and Boys RL so I see a more patient approach from Eagles before making any moves in the future.I still say that's unlikely. The problem with the patient approach is the boys side is going to begin to struggle now that the mid tiers can access mls 2 in both Ventura and conejo. The other problem is going to be the age line division brewing between mlsn and ecnl since its beginning to look, because of the academies, that mlsn will not make the change.I agree the Eagles have to proceed with caution but Rangers made first move which was not a surprise. I feel like if mls were to make a move they would make it with the rangers. The eagles are good but most of their teams are not in the playoffs. The rangers however are a reliable option all of their teams except their 07/06s have made it to playoffs. I also feel like the la area is too crowded and oc would be a better option.I still say that's unlikely. This is not true because the rangers will most likely if offered join mls next or mls next 2. Why join a third tier league like ea when you are in a 2nd tier league. You make no sense and the rangers are actually a good team not some mid table side. The Rangers will be EA this coming fall!!

By the way EA is not a 3rd tier league, there are some teams that are much higher level teams than ECRL teams. This is not true because the rangers will most likely if offered join mls next or mls next 2. It wasn’t a 3rd tier league. You are right there were some higher level ea teams than ecrl teams. The rankings generally applied to the boys were mlsn 1, ecnl 1.5, ea 2 (at least in SoCal), ecrl 2.5.By the way EA is not a 3rd tier league, there are some teams that are much higher level teams than ECRL teams.
