Congratulations to Albion 06 Whitaker on taking the chip! Was it as dominating performance on the field as it was on paper? Pool play wins of 5-0, 3-0, 6-0 then 8-2, 4-1, 1-0 in knockout rounds and championship 4-1?

Albion has been among the top teams in this age group for some time, sometimes it's just about getting over the hump. And when you have Legends, Galaxy, Surf, and Blues in the same age group over the years, getting over that hump isn't that easy.

Congrats to Albion, it's good to see a team that plays a pretty style of soccer put it all together and win the whole thing!
 
Albion came out really strong and scored 2 goals about 10 mins in. Stringing together some possession all the while hitting a couple good diagonal through balls. But from there on a dog fight for the next 25 mins of 1st half. Surf scored off a steal on defensive end that turned into a breakaway goal. Surf really revved up pressure and made things uncomfortable and seemed to win a lot of balls for first 10-15 mins of 2nd half. Then it evened out and Albion started to gain control again scoring on a great effort and 2nd effort. The last goal came off a corner both in last 10mins. Very good effort by Surf. Certainly wasnt easy
