More alleged abuse in the NWSL - this time Jill Ellis and the Wave

this organization is really digging a sh*thole...

And where do they practice at?

"I've stayed silent after I got a taste of retaliation and I'm still fearful since I still work in women's soccer, but my silence has contributed to more people enduring the same abuse. We need to protect people on AND off the field." Jenny Chaung

"It’s the courage of one person to start telling their story in hopes that more people will feel comfortable enough to one day tell theirs. We are with you @bavacado2."

Like the Yates report, this is a systematic abuse problem in all of women's soccer, and it starts at the youth level. I believe that we have a few bad apples at the top of the money tree. It amazes me how these two found each other, Surf and WaveπŸ€” Seem's to be some sort of partnership. Birds of a feather flock together. Oh Cananda, I came on here for a reason in 2018 and took a lot of shit from many of you. Jill was running GDA, let that sink in. Surf is very powerful with very powerful, and may I dare say very rich men in charge of the women's game. I 100% pray and hope all the women and girls one day can speak up without retaliation. Retaliation and attacking the messenger is what they do best.

Heard about this some time ago. So, a good friend was probing around for potential positions just in case their network was not going to make it out of bankruptcy. Through this process they learned about how cancerous JE is and the work environment.

Didn't something linke this just happen?

I wonder how/if this will impact the completion of the sale of Wave. The second, larger, part of the transaction isn't set to close until after the season is over.

according to news reports, the buyout is already complete, just installment payments instead of one lump sum so that won't change. BUT, those reports also explain that the new owners are VERY tight with JE going way back to her UCLA days. Looks like new ownership's first decision will have to be fire the person who they're most connected to.

Makes you wonder why are there so many awful people involved in organized soccer? Maybe the clubs and leagues need more corporate/business types with real world managerial experience and education vs. those who simply rose up the coaching and player ranks.

The whole NWSL is a bunch of secrets and misrepresentations -- attendance counts are overreported, the media deal value is ridiculously inflated (cash vs all other BS value like production value, marketing value, etc), further expansion will continue to dilute and depress the game/play quality, and, if there was one team/club that was profitable, that would be well known. Even player salaries aren't reported because they're all employees of the league instead of the teams. Transfer fees are, at least. Meanwhile, everyone knows Bronny James' entire contract details and every other male athlete's.

This was my question back in 2018 and why I came to the Fabulous SoCal Soccer Forum. Many of you read how I got attacked. I knew a few awful men who were already on here, so I took them on. Yes sir, Docs and coaches lurk on here to see who is unloyal and asking too many good questions They called me names, remember? Club hopper, medal chase, not taking my medication, crazy father who was bitter because of The List, STFU or else "you will ruin your dd's chances for college because and so many other awful things. I had no idea what and who I was dealing with until I got an email with a threat and a dox. No joke Canada. Surf Futbol (the avatar) threaten me and my dd. A father on here threaten me to stay away from him at Silver Lakes or he will fight me. I met some awful people who had their dirty hands-on youth soccer and many still do.
