This means ECNL is aggressively taking top GA clubs. I am not surprised either Albion or City or both will join ECNL next year.

Is this current or is it from several years ago? When DA blew up there were plans to make GA more like MLS Next.

What's listed seems like what was planned but didnt happen.

I see this as an elevation of GA more than anything. A large number of MLSN clubs have GA as well. My observation of these MLSN/GA clubs is they generally take development and competition, collectively between boys and girls, more seriously than their ECNL counterparts. ECNL obviously has more of the top clubs/teams on the girl's side, but GA is more aligned with MLSN (views on high school soccer is one example). I think, in general, MLSN clubs have better coaching that overflows to the girl's side. We shall see how it plays out, but this seems like a good thing.

Looks like this is current and GA is going to implement NWSL Next.

What would happen if MLSN told ECNL clubs, "Take your top girls teams to GA or lose MLSN" ??

Maybe this will be enough to entice the '24-'25 GAL club of the year to not leave for ECNL at the end of this season.
