Looks like MLS is starting a recreational soccer arm, with Los Angeles being one of the initial markets. Not sure how it is going to work, but this could create some competition for AYSO. Sounds like they will be using independent operators who affiliate with MLS Go and get access to branding rights and perhaps some financial/sponsorship subsidies
If they increase accessibility, that would be a good thing (although AYSO is already pretty cheap, as are local park rec leagues)

MLS has made a financial commitment to ensure as many players as possible have the opportunity to play in MLS GO leagues by removing financial barriers to participation. In addition, MLS GO national-level commercial partners will contribute in support of the League’s commitment to prioritizing access and increasing participation.
