Back before Juventus became Juventus Silicon Valley, they were on the brink of collapsing with teams disbanding. They probably continued to have problems after the rebranding. SMC went into SSF territory after Star Academy left, looking for fields and players. I don’t know what Juventus SV charges but SMC’s fees are low. As we have seen with collaborations, they don’t usually work out unless one group is actually letting the other take their players and fields and it’s actually a wind down of their operations.

FWIW - Juventus SV has recently disbanded some teams that were already registered/paid for State Cup this fall, awarding their opponents forfeits instead of a soccer match - it's not a great sign of things to come.

Not that I know of. Yes Seals has SMC kids playing for both. Seals was approved for U15 MLS Next (in addition to U13 and U14).
