I know your daughter had a bad experience there. I am certain there are more bad college coaches than good. Hoping your daughter found a good place.

That said, I am kind of surprised by the firing. They had improved this year, made the SEC tournament and seemed to have some momentum with the 2026 and 2027 commits.

I am certain you are right about the number of bad coaches. What’s more is that it feels like the system of needing to win now slowly makes even the good ones lose their humanity.

I agree that the momentum seemed to be in Florida’s favor and it seemed she would likely escape her bad behavior but Karma has a long arch. There have been many more nightmare stories since my daughter’s situation and I think Strickland finally had enough.

There will always be bad coaches but bad humans should not be tolerated to lead young impressionable women.
