This man, when he was Asst Superintendent of Poway USD, suggested that youth sports organizations should pay a fee to use PUSD fields. He also over-ran the budget for a school upgrade bind issue, resulting in the need for a second bond issue (the infamous billion-dollar bond) to cover the shortfall. Included in his improvements was fencing that closed off playing fields previously open to the public after school hours and on weekends.
I haven't liked him for years, and his fee proposal led me to speak up against him at a PUSD board meeting. Eventually the school board figured him out and fired him after years of abusing the district vacation and petty cash policies. Now the DA has his number.
