CIF State Regionals- Who qualifies?

Does anyone know who is eligible? OPEN Division finalists, Div 1 winner?

Southern section gets 20 teams across 5 divisions. Typically the final 4 from cifss playoffs go to regionals for D1.

Southern Section and San Diego section are separate, correct? How many from San Diego section can qualify? OPEN Only?

Typically SD Section qualify 1 and maybe 2 into Open CIFSS. The winner of CIF Open goes and typically the runner up.

I believe southern section gets 4 spots, San Diego, LA City section and Central Coast each send a team and there is a 4th wild card from one of those three sections to make the quarterfinal teams

Finalists get in, then there is a playin game between the two teams that lost their semifinal game.
