Any way to bypass $20 parking at Galway?

Guys, don't judge me.

But is there a way to bypass the $20 parking at Galway?

I swear parking used to be like $12 not long ago at Del Mar/Oceanside/Silverlakes/Galway but they're all $20 now...

I get it; it's a private facility and they can charge whatever they want to.

However, aren't there city roads around Galway I can park at and walk?
I would drop off my wife and kids and then don't mind parking somewhere and walking.

I know they have people prohibiting parking right across the fields on Los Caballos and Los Carralitos but how can they enforce that? They don't own it!
Maybe I can park on Pauba Rd east of it?

(Okay, fine, you can judge me a little bit. But $20/car per day and sometimes multiple cars x 3 days = $60-$100!)

Damnit... what's next? Griping the Fairfield Inn is $320 a night?

No judgement because it is absolutely ridiculous!

I lived in Temecula. I would look to park down by Butterfield Ranch Rd and hitch a ride and carpool with another family into the Downs and share the costs. Or, fly in like this dude from Dominos. This is insane!!! I'm sorry to hear about this BS!

Find the nearest free parking anywhere, and bring an e-Scooter (or a folding ebike that fits in your car).

Bring all your balls in a big sack and place it on the front passenger seat. Wear a club Kit. Tell them you are a coach. Make sure to hide your kid in the trunk. Coaches don’t have to pay parking.

Now you're talking!
I actually got a club coach's shirt from volunteering...

I believe Empire Surf gives each parent 2 parking passes.
Parking is the same at all other locations. Why only call Galway out?

We know a parent who tried to do that at Temecula and they still made him pay. At silver lake you might be able to get away with it. I will try and let you guys know.
I would just park off the side of the 15 frwy and hop the wall. Leave a note for CHP that your car ran out of gas⛽

Next would be $10/person to watch the game, just like volleyball and basketball. It is a logical next step. Parents will pay anyway.

sigh I do hear a lot about vball and bball from friends and family...
$30 to park... $20 per person to enter the premise...
I would've lost it by now with that set up...

Made him pay?! For what?! Parking the ebike?! smh

At Silverlakes you can park at the park or the residential streets across the street and walk across Hamner...
It's a bit of a walk... but it works...
I think your main obstacle will be dropping the wife at entrance and making her walk to field 19. I can just hear my wife say ,” You are SO cheap! Why did I marry you?”
