Arsenal v WC (2-1) tough game ... but Arsenal pushes through adversity and comes out With the win

Heavy weight battle is set - Look forward to next week.

We will need all your support ... smile

Hey Tech - DD's did great dominated their spaces, thanks for asking.

We put a lot of pressure on their Mids and back line - but they countered very Well, strong challenges.

If the regular season game is any indication of how these two teams will play - Its Going to be the match to watch expect fireworks. - I just hope both teams play at their peaks -because it will be fun game to watch

I think in the beginning of the year we all knew Surf, Arsenal, Beach and Strikers would be very good teams, but the development I saw in West Coast and Legends was impressive. Props to their players and coaches...Swanson might be the best coach in SoCal at developing players. Also wanted to give well deserved props to the players and coach at Westside Breakers. Impressive how their team turned their season around and did so well despite rotating players at goalie. Congrats to Surf and Arsenal for making the final. Surf can play possession soccer and also out physical you as well. Best team we played all year. Looking forward to academy next year and watching how the player movement plays out.

Surf vs Arsenal in a very fitting finals. These are the #1 and #2 ranked teams in CAS G04.

Prediction: Surf wins 1-0
Their last match up in CRL was steel sharpening steel. Arsenal kept Surf honest all game with the longball and forcing them to reset play in their defensive third. 1st half was 50-50, and 2nd half was 60-40 Surf as they did a better job of holding the ball and making Arsenal chase.

In previous years this match up would be Surf's style versus Arsenal's talent but this Surf squad is definitely different and like @splinter called it, Surf can play you both ways. It's going to be a good one for sure, on the pitch and the sidelines!

The one stat that I find crazy is that Surf has not given up a single goal this Tournament and only one team scored on them in all of CRL (LAGSB in the last game).

If there is one team that has a chance to beat Surf it is Arsenal--should be a great one next week!

Surf is definitely the favorite going into this, no doubt, but Arsenal does have some Gamers who can make things happen quickly. It's going to be fun

I asked this question before but no one answered
Isn't it all irrelevant anyway? If surf wins state then Arsenal gets to go to FWR too because they were back up CRL?
Not really Bragging rights as most teams splitting anyway

Surf earned their way to the FWR when they won CRL (as you know). Since Arsenal is playing Surf in the National Cup final, Arsenal earned their way to the FWR, either as the de facto CRL winner or winning National Cup. The winner of National Cup, if the same team won CRL, cannot accept the CRL berth, which is where Surf will sit if they win.

The benefit of Arsenal getting to the National Cup finals is the 3rd and 4th place CRL teams (Real Socal and LAG SD) will be offered a playoff spot on the weekend of May 20th (CRL showcase in Sacramento) for the final berth, which Nor Cal didn't automatically earn because they didn't have the prerequisite 6 teams in their 04 bracket. Good luck to So Cal and lets represent with 3 SoCal teams in the FWRs.

Curious to see everyone's prediction for the finals. Tiki-taka vs the American Athlete.
Something of a microcosm of Soccer in this country. Congrats to both teams on making it to regionals.

Damn! Loving how you break it out Tech!

Striker 17 ... Where are the Arsenal Parents? . . .Probably At home relieved that they don't have to go to Sacramento to participate in the Cal South / Ca North Wild Card Game ... out of curiosity why do you ask?

Lol . . . Tiki Taka vs American Athlete . . . Lol . . . Way to frame it.

Believe it or not these girls do have some skill and can play possession ball when asked to do so ... but RB likes his teams to play downhill, apply pressure and disrupt passing lanes... discombobulating alot of teams who try and practice the Jedi art form of Tiki- Taka. Whether this will work against Surf will be the test, Arsenal Tied Surf in CRL league game ... giving them fits and scares. Surf is the better team for sure, but Arsenal is no slouch, especially when that team is operating on all cylinders. Tough match ahead for sure!
