China condemned the US strikes on Iran. It issued strong statements. It called for diplomacy. It made phone calls. It helped push Iran toward a ceasefire. And it did not do one thing that would threaten the Busan trade truce with Trump.

On January 3 2026, US forces captured Nicolás Maduro in a nighttime raid on Caracas and flew him to New York. China had billions of dollars invested in Venezuelan oil, the largest proven reserves on earth. Maduro had met with China’s special envoy for Latin America hours before the capture. China condemned it. Called it a violation of international law. Called it hegemonic. And did nothing else.

When asked about the Chinese meeting with Maduro hours before the capture, Trump said: I have a very good relationship with Xi, and there is not going to be a problem.

That sentence is the whole argument.

China watched the US take its ally. China watched the US take its oil investments. China said the correct diplomatic words and did not move. Because the Busan agreement, the Beijing summit scheduled for May 2026, the rare earth controls suspended, the soybeans being purchased, the trade framework being built, all of it sits above Venezuela. All of it sits above Iran.

There’s no machine it’s simply the western democratic alliance. So are we now being drawn in by the power of authoritarian dictatorship? Is that the future you wish to see the US moving away from the free world to align with human rights abusing regimes?

Yep, an evil ideology that values death more than life and has no problem sacrificing its own people. It's sole goal is to eliminate all infidels. I always get a good chuckle when I see those "Coexist" bumper stickers with the star and crescent. It's like putting a "I'm stupid" sticker on your car.

I recall that Espola considered Biden to be a moderate. He was fooled. Biden was progressive Trojan horse, actually that gives him too much credit. He was a just an empty suit, that did, or more accurately, didn't do as he was told by the progressive wing of his party.

Remember as well that Whatithink, and many other voters, were fooled into believing the Spanberger was a moderate as well. To his credit, at least Mamdani never pretended to be anything other than a socialist.
