Pfizer has admitted that they didn't test the vaccine for prevention of the virus. A fact that they apparently didn't hide, but it didn't stop politicians and many media outlets from claiming it did. The claim was used as the basis for requiring vaccinations for certain jobs and certain public activities.

They did. It is in the documentation released. But they lied to us that it did prevent transmission. Ask @dad4 he knows all about how safe and thorough and on the up and up everything was. His greatest contribution to the covid forum was his firm believe that covid was being transmitted in bars.

No, the initial COVID-19 vaccines (such as Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) were not tested to see if they prevented transmission of the virus during their phase 3 clinical trials.

The primary focus of these initial trials was to determine if the vaccines were safe and effective at preventing symptomatic illness (symptomatic COVID-19) and severe disease in the vaccinated individual.
