This brought tears to my eyes. You know folks, it's not easy being adopted through private foster care. I was told that I was on my own at 18. I took that deal because I got to live on the beach and surf most of my young life. My adopted mom was 47 when she took me home from the hospital. Yes, a psychopath put a dagger in my door and that story will be told some day. All this life lessons made me a tough out and I'm still playing the game of life.

Mentally ill or not...when you charge at a cop with a knife they are most likely going to treat you with leadicillan.

Cops don't know who the person is...nor are they going to say...hey wait that dude might be mentally ill...better let him stab me instead of me defending myself.
