This is a "don't quit my day job" post.
If today's politics are were a college football game:
Proggy's vs Magans. The Proggy's are in keffiyehs with rainbow colored uniforms but keep adding colors as the game progresses. The Magans are in red, white and blue uniforms with rhinestones and gold trim. The Magan's try to disqualify Proggy players because they claim they're ineligible, while the Proggy's try and block the refs from entering the field. Half of the Proggy cheerleaders have 5 o'clock shadow and the other half are white woman in their fifties with blue hair and nose rings. The Magan cheerleaders are peroxide blonde with silicone boobs. The Proggys have a number of black players "because you're not black unless you play football". The Magans have two black players, but they hardly play. The start of the game is delayed due to the number of minority anthems played and the land acknowledgment statement.
The Proggys starting quarterback, in his 12th year of eligibility, stays in the locker room during warmups. He is quickly pulled from the game when he keeps running the wrong way, falling down for no reason and passing to no one. He goes into the medical tent, but never comes out. He is replaced by the backup quarterback, but no one can understand the QB's play calls. When other players question the QB, the QB just laughs. The QB brings in an assistant coach to play running back, but the RB is so excited to play he puts his helmet on backwards. The Proggys keep running the same play on offensive hoping for different results. They also throw the challenge flag on every offensive play of the Magans, and actually have a couple plays overturned. Every time the Magans score, the Proggys claim they're entitled to half the points.
The Magans all take a knee in the huddle except for the QB (who is in an all gold uniform) and the other players tell the QB what a great play caller he is. Every time the Magans score they have a TD celebration and taunt the Proggys. Then they carry off the QB on their shoulders even if he didn't score the touchdown. The Magans call a number of time outs to hold a press conference during the game to let everyone know how well they're doing. The Magans defensive coordinator, or war coordinator, keeps telling his players to hit the Proggy players even when they are already down. One Magan player runs the wrong route and is immediately benched, then quits the team in shame. If the QB throws an incompletion its always somebody elses fault.
Despite the fact that the Magans are killing the Proggys, the commentators keep complementing the Proggys on their play and claim the Magans are cheating. Positive yardage plays by the Proggys are heralded by the commentators and touchdowns by the Magans are barely mentioned.
All of this and the 1st quarter isn't even over.
