Strikers 07's are super tough and their 06's lost in the NHB final game in OT to Anaheim Surf last weekend on what I heard was really bad call. The half of the game we watched Strikers were technically superior but could not get a call in their favor. Blues Cup should be interesting....

Word on the street is that the Oceanside Complex field's will be lined at the max field size of 70 yards for 7x7 rather than the min 50 yards that the 7x7 fields were lined for Surf Cup and SoCal Cup at the same complex. Looking forward to the bigger fields after playing at 50 yards for Slammers Cup and SoCal Cup.

Would be interesting to hear about the field sizes from some of the other big tournament's over the summer.

Did they use a play out line? allow the goal keeper's to punt? Big games at Surf Cup were decided by goals by goalies and goals set up by goalie's long punts and goal kicks.

I know at least 4 top teams questioned the field size for blues cup after participating on the postage stamp size fields at surf cup. They were all assured the field size would be much closer to the 8v8 size. Imo Blues Cup will end up being a much better tournament for all involved. and it will be the last weekend to see keeper punts, headers and no buildout line.
