Vegas Cup

Hows the crazy hotel registration this year?
We've gone the past 3 years and are probably not going this year.
Too much trouble with 3 night minimums, waiting forever for valet and a pretty expensive weekend with strange game times (last 3 years has been 1 early game on Saturday and then a mid day and late game on Sunday).
About 10 days ago , I thought maybe we should play again. The kids have a good time.
I went to their website and it looks like they have a new hotel process. I didn't see any hotel prices listed. So I emailed the contact on the website to see if they could give me some hotel pricing info.
I haven't heard back yet, so I'm using this as a sign that we should skip it this year.
I checked rates on the direct sites of the hotels (I like MGM properties). I saw a $35 resort fee plus a new parking fee for each night. Ouch. That's about $50 per night for basically nothing in return
How has it gone for everyone else?

So...the best bang for your buck is Sante Fe Station. It's actually the closest to the majority of the fields ( Betty Wilson & KZ) about 5-10 minute drive, away from the strip madness, resort fees are much cheaper (if any)and free parking. I live here just in case you are wondering.;)

I don't see the JW Marriott of Red Rock on the list this year. Those 2 were always in the highest demand.
Are they a secret for VIP vegas cuppers? Or are they not contracted this year?

We've stayed at:
v. C FCC Bay- was good. Reasonable price and lots of options for food for kids and drinks for adults.
Red Rock- everyone's favorite
Aria- beautiful hotel. Not super kid friendly.

Red Rock is the best! Agree Aria not kid friendly. Sante Fe and Red Rock are sister properties. Both Station casinos.

I always liked staying at TI or MGM Grand for the Vegas showcases.
