Tournament of Champions is a ripoff

Giving $100 refunds to teams that payed $1500 for this tournament.. shame on these money hungry clubs!!
 
Saturday games were played but grass fields games were cancelled for Sunday. Tournament was at OC Great Park. Even though it wasn't the tournaments fault about the games being cancelled (decision by City of Irvine), a $100 refund is being a little too greedy and teams have a right to be upset.

Tournament costs to the club do not change very much when the fields close due to rain. This isn't the first time this has happened, or the worst. At least you got two games. Realistically, your player and all the others benefitted from the day off. At least you didn't have to drive to Lancaster.
 
There was 100% chance of showers and the club decided to move forward with the tournament. Seems a bit sketchy to only give back $100 and I think the city refunds your field reservation if it’s cancelled due to weather.
 
I saw a post on another platform about the field fees. The city of Irvine responded to an inquiry and said that when the city shuts down the fields, the organization that reserved the fields get a full refund. If the club doesn't pay for fields, ref fees, or other related expenses for that day, $100 seems really light.
 
Is the tournament postponed or cancelled altogether? We were in San Bernardino for the IE Legends tournament and were notified the remaining games will be reschedule next month.
