Refs and player chatter

There was a G05 game going on behind my kids game this afternoon.
Team A had a really solid gk. She was barking orders at her team all day.
Some of it I loved. Some of it sounded like a crazy soccer mom yelling at kids.
"Push up". "Mark". "Clear it". "Play Smart. Get it wide". All good stuff.

But she was also saying this:
"If the ref won't call pushing on them, then we need to push back."
"Come on ref. You need to make calls"
"Don't worry. He won't call any fouls. "

I'm surprised the ref didn't say something about her chatter towards him.

Was it all kind of repetitive?

Why would a referee get involved in something with no foreseeable upside?
