Isn't ECNL reserves just EGSL? Lipstick on a pig.

Yes, it is the EGSL team. However, by naming the "B" team "ECNL Reserves" versus EGSL, parents can now go around saying their dd is on an ECNL team. Those parents don't have to say the second word when talking with friends.....No different that using Pre-ECNL, DA II, Academy Reserve, etc. As a parent of a DA II player, I am going to walk around saying my dd is DA (kidding):)

It's all about optics, not necessarily development.

Does anyone have insight on why so many of their coaches moved / left this year? I guess it shows how vulnerable a club can be.

CB PA DR are the notable coaches I know that left. The ECNL coaches have been a little bit of a revolving door as well, but I think TP is becoming a fixture. The new youngers coach LK seems really nice but she's brand new. I've also heard that the new DOC is pretty cool.
