Let the debate begin... Interested to see the teams that opted for Presidents. State Cup - Presidents

CCU SoCal Academy shouldn't be playing Presidents. Most other teams seem pretty well placed. I see more teams playing National Cup that shouldn't than the other way around.

My DD is looking to join a team for state cup/national cup. Her team is not playing. She would be available to play keeper or forward. PM me if interested.

My daughter is also looking for a State Cup team in need. Her team has dissolved. Plays both position on the field and support off the field. Kidding of course, left defender mainly.

I agree that CCU So Cal should be in National cup. I'm actually surprised that they opted down for both Surf thanksgiving and now National cup. That is a solid group of girls that IMHO should be getting challenged by the top teams as much as possible. Makes you wonder who they are trying to keep happy.

What I don't get is why only 4 out of the 12 teams that played in CSL Silver ELITE South are playing in National Cup. I understand the bottom two opting to play down . CCU SoCal Academy has a winning record(7-2-2) and placed third, FRAM(5-4-2) placed fifth, TFA/IE Surf/BYSC/OC Premier all in the middle of the pack(4-5-2) placing sixth but only one of them(IE Surf) are stepping up to National. And then there's FC Golden St, who are third from last, that can compete with anyone. By the way, three of these teams are also in CRL and none of those teams should be in anything lower than National Cup.

The black team? They played in flight 1 all season, but I'm pretty sure they played in the 2nd flight in every tournament they played in this year. I hear their coach is leaving and most of the team is moving to a new club next year.

Actually if you take the brackets, use the Cal South Rank in YS Rankings here's the breakdown of average ranking per bracket... Bracket A: 47 Bracket B: 128 Bracket C: 65 Bracket D: 75 Bracket E: 47 Bracket F: 74 Bracket G: 58 Bracket H: 90

Since I enjoy crunching numbers in my spare time. Here are the average rankings per group based on Tango's rankings. I took each teams ranking from each group and added them together then divided that number by the number of teams in the group. Group A is the only one with 3 teams rather than 4. Group A- 18.3 Group B-31.75 Group C-17.75 Group D-18 Group E-14 Group F-17.25 Group G-16.25 Group H-30 So based on this group E has the lowest average and Group B has the highest average. Curious to see if the winners from groups like E and G will be more battle tested going forward or more beat up.
