Some are and some aren't. Open invitation for touches and to gauge interest. Preliminary tryouts before all high school seasons end.

Gotcha. I've seen a lot of calls for scrimmages for 04 teams the past couple of weeks which has had me wondering how they are able to field a full team

Totally! I've seen and heard the same. Only thing I can think of its a blended team of some 04s not playing high school and 05's to let the players get touches.
