DA quick question

Posted this in 03 but maybe an 04 parent may know?
Conflicting info from clubs can anyone clarify?
1. Why are some clubs saying they are doing two DA teams?
2. Why are some clubs saying they are carrying roster of 18 and 6-8 Discovery players that will "float"
3. If you are an ECNL CLUB can your DD be a DP and play ECNL or does she have to play a non ECNL team within the club as a rostered Dp?

Because what I have heard 10 of the 12 clubs for the SoCal region are using that model where the other two clubs are supposedly using one team of mostly the older age group as the DA team and the younger age group girls will be their ECNL team at that age group. With regards to questions 2 and 3, I have no idea. US Soccer has a mandatory meeting next week in Chicago will all the DA clubs and hopefully we will have clarity in what is going to happen. But for now, it seems like mere speculation on everybody's part as there still seems to be so many unknowns.
