AYSO wasn't around where I grew up; boarding (stake & surf) was our major activity with some over the line, sandlot types of deal thrown in.

Didn't play organization sports until In was in HS. Didn't even know about AYSO until kids went to elementary school

First time I've heard of this but looks like there is some programs around for adults

So who's going to play in this vs the sunday pub league? Think I will stick to the over the hill softball league, running is optional....

I know the AYSO region in my area ( Region 2 - Arcadia, Monrovia, Duarte ) has been doing this at least for a few years now. They have both Spring and Winter adult leagues. I think you need to log in 8 hours of volunteering to me eligible to play. One of the dads on my DD team still referees for AYSO so he can play in the league. And usually after the game it’s time for a beer or two. Good times

AYSO 37 did it last year. I AR'ed a couple games. Coed. Some good players, some injuries, some people taking it too seriously.
