AC Brea B07 Red is looking to expand our roster as we move to 9 vs 9 and play in the Silver Elite level of Coast Soccer League for the upcoming season. Our team history and information is below. Formed in 2015, AC Brea B07 Red has achieved success at each level of competition and is currently recruiting additional players as we expand our roster for the 2017-2018 season.
Team History
B07-Red formed as a new team to compete in the U8 division of Coast Soccer League in 2015 under coach Steve Tatone. In that first season of play, the team played in several tournaments, playing for the flight one championship in the Copa Del Mar and Anaheim FC Summer Showcase tournaments, and winning the title in Strikers FC BodyArmor Classic. In their first regular season of play, the Red Squad went 12-2 and finished in second place, earning a promotion to the Silver bracket of competition.
Going in to the 2016-17 season, the team made a few changes based on the new birthday cut-off dates, but they remained strong under the leadership of Coach Tatone. The team finished as finalists in Newport Mesa Cup, and won tournament championships in the Irvine Summer Classic and the AC Brea Kickoff Classic. With the team now playing as a U-10 team, they faced stiff competition in the Silver East division of Coast Soccer League. With great determination and a beautiful style of play, the team finished with a record of 11-1-2 and were the Champions of their league, earning another promotion to the Silver Elite level of play, where they will compete in the 2017-18 season. The team also played in the Presidents Division of State Cup to finish the season, advancing in to the knockout round before being eliminated in a close match with the highly ranked Fullerton Rangers.
A New Coach and Looking Forward
The 2017-2018 season is now fast approaching. The team will be playing U-11 and a 9 vs. 9 format. This requires that we increase our roster size and look to add depth at every position. The team is also transitioning to a new coach. Claine Plummer will be taking over training responsibilities of a team with high expectations. Claine, a native of Costa Rica, comes with a very strong resume, including time as a professional player in both Costa Rica and the MLS. He has served as a coach at the youth, high school, college, professional, and international levels since 1997. Currently in addition to coaching with AC Brea, Coach Claine has recently been signed as the Goalkeeper coach with the Los Angeles Galaxy II squad. Needless to say, we are extremely excited and honored to have him.
In addition to this, we are excited to partner with the AC Brea B07 Green team who are currently the #1 ranked team at their age group in the nation. Players will get exposure to the highest level of skill and competition in the nation when they play on the Red Squad. The 2007 AC Brea age group is quickly gaining a reputation as the finest and most competitive not in just Orange County or Southern California, but at a national level.

If you have a player who is interested in trying out for AC Brea Red, we currently train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Brea Sports Park Field 5 located at 3333 E Birch St, Brea, CA 92821. Players are welcome to come and train with the team. Please have your player wear a red or black shirt and black shorts. We will be playing in the CSL Spring League as well as several tournaments and friendlies this spring and summer.
