Doesn’t look like anything changed since putting the schedule back up. There are some teams in the Blue flight that are very good teams that deserve to be playing in a higher bracket. All in all though, whether you’re playing in the highest flight or the lowest, it’ll be great competition!

Corrected the omission of Legends (#3 team in nation) from the top bracket and moved some teams around from bracket to bracket. If you are Albion and CDA Slammers, I would question the inclusion of some out of state teams over each of those teams.

National Rankings (Youth Soccer Rankings) per bracket:
Bracket A: #7, #12, #50, #95
Bracket B: #4, #8, #10, #23
Bracket C: #1, #4, #6, #52
Bracket D: #3, #15, #27, #77

For the first time I can remember, Blues did not receive a good draw at a Surf or Manchester City Cup. Of course, Surf Cup Sports says they do not use "rankings" but the resumes submitted by each team and a "committee" seeds the accepted teams.

Bracket C is definitely the bracket of death, looking forward to seeing a rematch of Real Colorado and Blues from last year's semis (3-2 Blues) in bracket play. Can Crossfire continue their good run at SuperCopa at Surf Cup and upset Blues and Real Colorado?

That is a pretty big stretch based on the rankings:
#19, #29, #39, #60.

Should CDA at #19 be in the best of the best, absolutely, but not the others in the bracket.

I don’t see any good teams in the Blue that have anything to complain about. Which teams are you referring to?

CDA and San Juan should both be in the Best if the Best. San Juan picked up three studs this year and they should be one of the best 2-3 teams in Nor Cal. But I guess these brackets are based on what they have done in the past, not what they may do in the future. That is a heck of a bracket with Houston Dash in it as well.

My error, I had meant to say white division and I was referring to 3 of the 4 teams in bracket C and Murrieta Surf in Bracket B.
But looking at the Blue division, Slammers, Fram, and Eagles don’t look like they belong—that is, if you go off of National ranking of YSR of which I know Surf has their own algorithm they use.

All three of CDA, San Juan, and Dash are probably top 20 teams. San Juan and Dash are now better than their YSR ranking, and CDA is still quality. Being in the same Black A bracket means two of the four best teams in that Black division will miss out on the semifinals.

That said, none of them are genuine threats to win the BotB. But those three are at least as good as a half dozen teams or so that were slotted in the BotB.

Going to be a great tourney. The top end of the BotB bracket is loaded.

The White Division is pretty strong overall for the 3rd Division.

In the Blue Division, the Eagles team is pretty good and plays an excellent brand of soccer. The Fram team is the classic Kick Ball style team that can win a few early season games here and there if a couple of the good athletes on the team carry them. Is the Slammers team a new team, as I have not see or heard of them before?

Completely agree with your statement; FRAM is ALL kick ball, but sometimes that works. I understand they lost a couple of their top players from last season.
 
It's going to be a great weekend of soccer, and will be interesting to compare the results of those matches against the results of the upcoming CRL games; for those teams that are playing CRL, given the "no-guest players at CRL" rule.
