How's your girl's 05 season going?

Lastman!! Any where any time. I’ll always make room for a beer or just bring cold beers in a cooler to you and just hang. We might be so nice to each other after the game. That’s going to be a fun game aswell.

All you guys/ladies here on SoCal board are either Silver or Platinum!! I’m not worthy to be on this board!!

Anyone going to Vegas? Not a lot of chatter about it this year. I think I noticed only 1 so cal ecnl team, no heat ecnl and of course no DA. Is there a clear favorite?

I know of 2 ENCL teams considering going to Vegas. Parents aren’t all on board given not a lot of teams have signed up. One 05 Socal team attending is not a good sign...

Looks like we will be missing state cup. Daughter broke hand 4 weeks ago playing basketball, hoped to be healed 2/12, but looks like she will be out another 8 weeks. Will xray again in 4 weeks and while he didn't recommend her playing, she possibly could, but chances to re-break are great.

Wife took the daughter to the orthopedist yesterday. I made sure I didn't go as I didn't want to be one of those parents and try to convince the doctor. Xrays show bone completely healed and he gave her full release for full contact. My first reaction was "is he sure? Thought it would be another 3-4 weeks after this check up". Wife said yep. Figure since I was accepting his decision to hold her out for 12 weeks I should accept his decision to come back at 9 weeks. Did some light keeper practice last night and she has been working on strengthening her hand and arm for the last couple weeks, but sure glad she has 10 days to keep getting stronger thanks to the push back of the schedule for rain. :)

Take it slow. When my daughter was coming back from her broken arm/wrist there was a small amount of residual pain, but the biggest issue was overcoming the fear she was going to re-break it. It took several months to be able to play at the level that she was capable (IMO). Don't underestimate the mental aspect of recovering from the injury. Good luck to your kid and see you on the fields.

Glad she made a full recovery. Hopefully training goes well so she can get back up to speed and get her strength back.

I saw it a bit in practice. She would go up with both hands, but the right was going up quicker than the left. Hoping she will spend the next few days dribbling her basketball to get strength, coordination, and confidence in it. No pain after first practice, so that was good.

Funny that this should come across my notifications today.... “how’s your 05 daughter season going”... before Saturday nite I would have answered excellent... she’s playing better than ever and very confident. Sadly... a hip check by an overly aggressive futsal player knocked her down hard... she twisted... and POP.

Complete Acl tear, dislocated knee cap, and some other stuff I don’t really understand...

So... distraught. In pain. Bouts of crying and sadness... for both of us seems to be the norm.

We are working on getting surgery scheduled.
So... her season is not only not good but non exsistant now.

Take care all... will update on her recovery.

Horrible. Sorry to hear this and hope she's back stronger than ever.

Excited to go to Oceanside until two parents message that their kids are very sick and won’t be able to play this weekend. :(

Turned out to be a very good weekend. 1-0 Saturday, then 2-0 Sunday morning before our season ended Sunday afternoon. Great weather, fields in very good shape. Fun weekend. Funny you end State Cup and have games the following weekend for spring league.

EmmaruthM hope your daughter is healing well.
