They have DA badges so I don’t think so.Does DA pilot=DPL pilot?
EPIC!I know it's lame. But I could not resist.
This is just DPL right? the new "EGSL"? Other than patches and poweraid jugs at games, it's just the new label for the league under DA?

No- these teams are playing as a pilot league in the DA system. Frontier and Southwest have single-age band 2003 teams. Next year, DA is expected to move to single age groups in all birth years except the oldest age group (next year that would be 01/02).
I don't understand how the answer is "no" to the questions posed.
According to their website, Surf has a DA, DPL and a SCDSL teams. Yet they have a team in "Pilot" table above. Which team below is the "Pilot" team?
Team League
2003 G03 USSDA US Soccer Development Academy
G03 Surf DPL Development Player League
G03 Surf Academy Girls SCDSL

The DA Pilot (aka 2003 DA) is the first team you have listed. The DPL team is the second team. The SCDSL team is the third team. The rankings provided above in this thread are for the first team/ DA team, which is not the DPL team. US Soccer is not providing rankings on their website for DA Pilot teams, so the OP has kindly shared them for those interested. Sticking with Surf as the example, Surf's 2003 DA team is currently ranked number 1. If you're interested in the DPL rankings, they can be found here: http://primetimesportz.bonzidev.com/sam/standings/ss/schedule.php?v=3&divisionID=MjkxMTAz. Legends 03 DPL team currently tops the rankings there. Hope that helps!

If ECNL can have single age band why can't DA? As for expense to the club, if the cost is approximately $2,800 per player with an 18 person roster that's $50k in revenue, how does that not pencil out as a positive for the club revenue wise? Serious question, not trying to be a smart a$$.Where is this information or what is the reliable source on this? There’s a reason why there are pilot divisions for the 03s, and with that only two divisions.
Most of the clubs across the country don’t want or don’t have the means for single band teams.
This “single-aged band” rumor seems nothing more than a tactic by entities to keep kids from looking at other options.

PS Yes, I am sure that it also plays into keeping the kids from looking elsewhere.
I couldn't find the inequality sign on my keyboard. But I did hear that GDA will be birth year next year.Does DA pilot=DPL pilot?

Since the DA site doesn't post rankings for this age group I'm sharing 'unofficial' DA Pilot U16 rankings I was sent on a group text by another soccer parent who is usually a trust-worthy source. I'm not savvy enough to know if they're accurate or not, just sharing.

I would think this has to be the least accurate rankings ever, seeing as the pilot teams for the most part are backup rosters for the 02-03. Players are up and down for games.
These really are just exhibitions games in training for 02-03 play.
What makes this even worse is the competition isn’t the same. In Florida, some teams play Frontier teams and some play teams in our own division.
It’s almost as bad as the cheap points many teams got last from having Burlingame on the schedule.
