We were always told a DPL player can not play SCDSL. I don’t know why CalSouth would have allowed 1 team to play in 2 different leagues in the same season.

Heard the team is on the verge of breaking up and they did this to try to make parents happy. It was too many games and parents were getting mad. They already lost their 2 best players to DA and more were threatening to leave. This team is not gonna be the powerhouse they once were.

Interesting. Never understood the obsession with playing up. The ME Legends 06 team is incredibly talented, much more so than their 05s by objective measures. To think it's in jeopardy due to short-sighted decisions made by its own club is madness but unsurprising. Hopefully the rumor is unfounded as the Legends 06s are such a great group of young ladies.
If "good players" all played up then no club would have age appropriate teams. Luckily that's not the case and the madness is somewhat reined in. Playing up should be for either (1) true unicorns (there's about a dozen per age group across the entire country, and no your kid is not one) or (2)if their age-appropriate team is not a strong team in its age group where the player is question is head and shoulders above her teammates.

The whole team could easily compete in 05 and probably be one of the top teams. I wonder why only take 2 players? They had to have known that would cause problems. Must have been to give those kids some extra development. No better way to tell the rest of the team “ your kids are pretty good...but these 2 are special”. Surf and Legends whole team should have been playing up the past 2 years.
The team is fine. Some 06’s are getting opportunities to play up (AKA guest up) 05’s have some injured players and they need some forwards. It’s really not a big deal....

It’s a good experience for the 06 girls. Last I checked... there’s no college coaches on the sidelines and we’re not really playing for anything at the moment. Just saying... again no big deal and no need to start rumors or gossip.

The Legends 06 team is deep and has lots of talent around the pitch. I don't think a couple of players playing on the 05 DA team on any given weekend is going to fundamentally change their competitiveness. From the outside, they've always seemed to be a tight group of girls and families as well.
Lots of true BS being stated on this thread. Legends ‘06 is a very talented group. Too many games has to be a fact.

Anyone know the result of SC Blues vs LA Breakers on October 13? Website still isn't updated.
Needs to be rescheduled as fields were closed due to rain the day before. Should be a good one between you guys and Blues this weekend. Doesn't seem likely that either team will lose to anyone else in league.
