Games per player, per week?

Is a player allowed to play on multiple teams (at the same school) per week? Per day?
IE- can a player play on the frosh/Soph team one day and on the JV or Varsity team?
What about for goalkeepers?

Players are not allowed to play for multiple teams on a single day.
They CAN play one day on JV and next day on Varsity.
Furthermore, for example if a player even only played a minute as a substitute on a one team, this player can no longer play on the same day for any other teams.
HS don't differentiate players with goalkeepers, so the same rules are for everyone.

Also, if they play in a game on a higher team (JV or Varsity) then they cannot play with a lower team (Freshman or JV) for the rest of the week.

How do they define a "week" - It is Monday-Sunday. Or 7 days in a row?
Example: Can they play on Friday with JV and Monday with Frosh/Soph?

At least in San Diego County, the week resets on Sunday. So a player could play Freshman game on Monday, JV on Wednesday, Varsity on Friday, and then back to Freshman the next week's Monday.

This is another area where the Southern Section and San Diego Section have different rules.

The Southern Section limits competition to one level (F/S, JV or V) per day but no additional limit on moving up or down during the week.
2510. LEVEL OF COMPETITION No student shall participate in more than one level of competition in the same sport in the same day.
The San Diego Section has the following policy which allows upward movement on the same day and restricts downward movement:
Article XI.J MOVING UP OR DOWN/CHANGES IN COMPETITION LEVEL: For those team sports in which there is class competition, an athlete may move up but never down in classification (e.g., Frosh to JV, JV to Varsity, etc.) during the same week (MondaySaturday). NOTE: The upward movement may be on the same day. An athlete who participated in a game, match, or contest and who moves down in classification during the same week will be ineligible in that contest and all subsequent contests for the week. A team playing an athlete at the lower level who participated at a higher level during the same week shall forfeit that higher level contest (Approved October 22, 2002, Board of Managers).

And since upward movement is allowed on the same day they could play two games on a day at different, moving upward, levels.

Not on a same day
Yes on the same day. At least in the SD section, upward movement only is allowed during the week and even on the same day. You can play in a JV game and then a V game right after. But you are not eligible to play JV again until the following week. Can’t move back down in tbe same week.
