World Cup Goalkeeping - Golden Glove?

Hey keeper parents, any predictions on the WC Golden Glove winner? Honorable mentions, personal favorites? After a bumpy start in some of the early group play matches, seems like the overall quality of the goalkeeper play in this WC has risen to an incredibly high level. I'm guessing Subasic, primarily on the strength of him getting through two shootouts and putting a rather modest dark horse team into the final. I loved what I saw from Pickford, Courtois, and the S. Korean keeper as well. As usual, Ochoa was brilliant in the air and with his reactions, and Kaspar Schmeichel was heroic in defeat against Croatia.

The American keeper hasn't given up a goal this tournament, not even on a PK attempt.

PIckford carried the English team, which wouldn't have advanced as far without him. We haven't seen the final games yet, and given that they lost out on the finals it's going to be a strike against him, but so far I think he deserves it if the standard is biggest contribution of the keeper to the team.

Croatia’s keeper made great saves, and got them to the final after three straight games going to extra time. That’s my pick. Definitely him if they can beat France.

I thought Pickford was great! And I think all our keepers should watch that passback to Lloris and his blunder in the final yesterday - tacks on to our thread a few weeks ago about playing back. Good for all our keepers to see that even the pros can make mistakes!

Given the outcomes of the final and the third place games, I can't argue with Courtois as the winner. He probably played the most consistently of all the top keepers. Pickford would have been my runner up. Subasic honestly didn't have a very good game against France. I thought he looked very flat footed on at least two of the goals, and not nearly as quick to react as he had been earlier in the tournament. Even if he'd played his best game, I doubt Croatia would have won, but he definitely didn't look like the golden glove winner to me in the final. And that Lloris howler...yes, it's good to be able to show our kids that the best of the best will give some of those up, often on the biggest stage, so who can get mad about a youth player doing it?
