Crossing my fingers for neutral sites in the Gold division, too much travel for CSL.

That's correct, IE Surf was in talks to merge / become an affiliate with Arsenal FC. IE Surf would be able to take care of their current staff by continuing to operate out of the IE Surf Complex for the majority of their teams, "B" and "C" teams, and their top players / teams would funnel to the ECNL program at the Ontario Soccer Complex.
After the dismissal of Randy Brown and the uncertainty of returning players, Arsenal was looking to get back to business.
From what I know, the table was set for a perfect partnership but talks went nowhere after IE Surf presented their demands.
In the case of the 06s, Coach Darrell O'Brien had worked with new Arsenal FC ECNL Director Rich Boon before and they had talks as well about bringing the 06s over at the very least.
Girls just wrapped up Surf Cup as IE Surf under some difficult circumstances, and are now looking forward to the next chapter.
As @LASTMAN14 said the IE Surf 05s coached by Randle Bowling have also left IE Surf and will now be the Strikers 05 ECNL team.
I've seen several of Randy Brown's players return to Arsenal and also wish them the best.
For my DD, it's a return to where it all started 7 years ago when she started club at 5 years old playing for Arsenal. Can't say for certain this will be our final home because the landscape changes so fast, but if I've learned anything I'm focused on her development and whats best for her.
Question, how does that affect your team in CRL? Just curious. Does the team or club “own” the spot? Seems to me your team earned it. Thanks. Best of luck to your team and player with the change.
Arsenal is working on our behalf to keep the same team number and the logistics since the entire team came over.
I had our parents sign a letter of acknowledgement that the entire team was moving over. Included Cal South Player #s, DOBs, and acknowledgement from both clubs presidents. I've been told its doable for team to keep its CRL slot. Should hear more this week.
