Looking for G2006/2007 Goalie- Full Scholarship

Also you might want to relabel your post. Referring to the prospect as a "goalie" isn't likely to win you any recruits here or inspire a prospective keeper with confidence in your program. o_O

Huh... Maybe I'm missing something but care to explain what's wrong with the term "goalie"?

Technical term is Goal Keeper.. This is likely the team admin/manager posting.. So I don't think you should read so much into it. Sounds like a good opp for someone at the end of the day.

It's used as a term of derision among some players, in the UK and Latin America. A goalie is a shot blocker that is thrown in there without much technical skill. A keeper or goalkeeper or "portero" or "arquero" or any of the other terms is someone with leadership ability, play with the feet and to distribute. If a coach uses it in a non-ironic manner, it's a sign they may not know much about keeping.

I did not know that. But I did notice that blue-blood futbol fans and European commentators NEVER say "goalie" and only "keeper" or "goal keeper" so I just assumed that I sounded like a typical soccer-ignorant American if I said "goalie."

Goalie is nothing else but a short or informal world for a goalkeeper or a goaltender. It normally used more in hockey.
