NorCal Tournaments

Our club is interested in attending 1 or 2 tournaments in Northern California, sometime between April and August... Any suggestions? Advice on which to avoid??

Why?...
I wouldn't travel that far just to enter a Mustang event, or any NorCal event tbh. Maybe 5-7 years ago, but not anymore. I think you are going to be disappointed.
If you must, I would probably travel a little further north and do a Davis event.

Girls or boys?

Coach asked parents if they'd want to do more tournaments during spring and some suggested trying North.
He said he would look in to it.
And I just wanted to get a heads up on any that may be worth the travel North.

NorCal parent here... for U13’s, Mustang is the best tournament in NorCal usually. Most, if not all, of the top NorCal clubs put their teams in this tournament. And since DA does not have U13, I would expect some DA Clubs to have their teams there as well in this age group. I’m sure Quakes will be there, since Deza usually had his teams play in it in the past. The Davis tournament is good as week, by NorCal standards, but a step below Mustand IMO.

If you go to the Davis tourney, the Davis soccer fields are approx 15-20 minutes from Sacramento. The CA State Fair runs from July 13-29. Also would be a good experience for the kids to visit the State Capital building and Old town Sacramento.
