Best College Showcases to attend

Looking for advice from the forum on the BEST College Showcases to attend. Looking for a list of 10 or so to go to over the next 3 years with my DD team. Looking at So Cal, Nor Cal, WA, OR, AZ, UT, NV and any really good ones on the East coast

Are you looking for tournaments or ID camps?

If tournament and your team can get in, Surf Cup (July), Disney Showcase (Dec), Players LV (March), Dallas Cup (Easter Wk), Potomac (Memorial Day). And if your team can get there, National Cup Finals.

But, the best exposure is at the USSDA Showcase in FL (Nov-Dec) and Playoffs/Showcase now in SD Polo Fields (June).

Before you just sign up or apply for the best college showcase, you have to consider a few things.

Does your team belong there?
Is this something your entire team and coach desires, since these aren’t cheap.
What age group are you?
Will coaches even watch your team play?

College teams typically watch the best of the best. Even at surf cup roaming around the DA show case, I saw some DA games with 30-40 college coaches and some with fewer than 5.

If your games coincide with high-ranking matchups, you may get screwed for what you’re looking for.

Also, it depends on your age. If you go to Vegas cup in March as an unsigned 17 yr old, small colleges are all over the place there looking for you. They may not be the top 25 schools but that has appeared to me the best way for a non-superstar to get a look.

Agree but just know that there are so many schools looking for players that all levels should consider being looked at.

I know many D2~3 and NAIA schools that don't bother with DA players because they are all taken and favor D1 schools.

Also many D2~D3 and NAIA schools only has budget for few showcases so its very important to goto the ones that are nationally recognized AND targeted school's nearby showcases.

Do know that there are soccer players at all levels playing at college, as long as you look beyond D1 and are willing to focus on playing. That said, if it doesn't match your academic expectations, then you'll have a decision to make about priorities.
