All Team Rankings

What playoffs? Ecnl is in showcase this weekend and DA finishes the first half on the 19th before the Florida showcase in December.

I am talking about abt scdsl playoffs, or league cup, Last I read this was all Teams rankings not just academy and DA. There’s a few teams that were non academy of encl in the top 25.

Has anyone got the inside scoop on the Pateadores 03 DA team?

Seems a pretty extreme turnaround to go from losing their first 6 games without scoring a single goal to then going on an unbeaten run and getting 1 tie and 4 wins (maybe 5 but a score is missing off the website against PSV Union). If they beat PSV as well, which seems likely looking at how they have done in a weaker north bracket, then they would have managed quite a string of results including wins against Surf and Del Sol.

You know its sad, but we all have to face up to the fact that the problem with youth soccer is us parents, not DA, not ECNL not the Clubs not the coaches, its us. We are the Ego maniacs that want little Suzy playing on the top team, so we can brag to the Jones. At the beginning of the season everyone scoffed at the Pats' team. Why ? It wasn't because of the coaching and program they were setting in pace. They obviously know what they are doing on the boys side. We scoffed because they weren't able to recruit the top talent away from existing WINNING clubs from the start. And every one knew they wouldn't be one of the top WINNING teams from the start.
OMG, Heaven forbid our little Suzy is not on one of the top teams, (WINNING). Most parents here think of development in terms of team Wins and Losses. Sad that only as Pats brings up there Win Loss record, parents will now start to consider them, when the development part was already there.
Perhaps one day we as parents will stop looking at the Wins and Losses and start holding our coaches and clubs to delivering development.
But as long as we parents keep jumping ship soon as little Suzy's Team Looses one too many games. Things will never change.
Imagine if we started leaving clubs because the coaches are just playing to win and not teaching good soccer or were not playing all the girls equally to improve the whole team durimg games.
Bah, who are we kidding, its off to move our DD's to the WINNINGEST team we can find we all go.....
Oh yah, make sure we have a good Team Ranking System so we can track our DD's development, and know what team to place her on next year to increase her development.

At the start of the new DA, players wanted to stay with their current team and coach, nothing wrong with that as there have been so many changes the last two years. As for wins vs. losses, a lot depends on the schedule and who they played in the beginning versus now and they also picked up a couple of players.

Good list. Seems fair balanced and representative of the teams out there. It will be interesting to see how things progress as the newly formed teams get more acquainted with each other. Nice to see dds team in the top 10. Doing fine, and enjoying journey.[/QUOT

CURIOUS, AND AWAITING THE UPDATED LIST FROM A FEW ON THIS THREAD....... ANYBODY AWAKE HERE?!

While you do touch on some valid points, the gist of your post seems to just be a rant. I’ll agree, I have seen players come and go based solely on a win loss record. But if you think it’s just the parents talking about this you’re wrong. In my daughters case, the players on her team know exactly who the best, good, and worst teams are, and they talk about it amongst themselves. And they work harder to beat the best teams and gain that notoriety. As I’ve seen posted on here several times, winning can be a benchmark of development. It’s just not the one and only benchmark.

Yes that's true, but it doesn't happen in a vacuum. I'm sure that over the years they've heard plenty of parent chatter regarding the hierarchy of clubs, teams, and coaches.
