How's your girl's 09 season going?

That is TBD but my inkling is we are in CSL in 2019. They are focused on the DA in phase 1 of the merger and leaving most everything else untouched, but perhaps that is an exception. That would be pretty disruptive to CSL on short notice though given how many teams we have in it.
Well I hope you are right because we already lost a quality team to SCDSL with the move of Juggle Ole to Real So Cal.

The most annoying part of this Silver Elite bracket is that most of the these teams could play much closer with other teams from scdsl. The only teams that should be traveling this far are flight 1/ premier starting at age 14.
CSL and SCDSL just needs to merge.

Yeah, because it's always a good idea to get back together with your ex.

Then we should fire those greedy decision makers. Who gives a crap if it’s csl or scdsl. It’s just youth soccer. As it is, you are already seeing a lot of smaller clubs merging with bigger clubs.
You want to know why new parents don’t do club soccer: money and travel. It’s simple.

Unfortunately, every Club sport involves travel and money.

Another point that comes into all this and makes it further conflicted is variety.

We want to keep travel under control, want to appropriately challenge ourselves with like competition, but we also wouldn't mind seeing some new faces and developing new friendly rivalries in league play. I look forward to seeing more of Rangers, AVSC, BYSC, Simi Valley, and Team USA....and addition to playing Santa Barbara, Aztecs, and Eagles. That does come with a cost, and that does have me conflicted.

One argument is that you get your variety in tournaments (or League/State Cup), when you know you already have pretty much shot your whole weekend - but keep your league play close, especially at young ages. The idea of dedicating full weekends to weekly league play I get is tiring. I guess it's just all a part of the choices we make based on what's important.

A thought here is doing it like the pros do in many sports - you have a division (perhaps a little smaller) with similar/closer teams you are guaranteed to always play multiple times, but your overall league play (and points, standings, etc.) adds additional games that rotates some other farther teams in the same flight/level that you play maybe only once. I'll admit I am not sure how MLS does it - maybe they do this? I follow EPL more and I know that's a pure dual round robin.

So based on YSR prediction power, the CSL Bracket should be ranked like this:

1) Eagles
2) Team USA
3) Aztecs
4) Santa Barbara
5) Rangers
6)BYSC
7) Apple Valley
8) Simi Valley
9)LA Surf
10) Golden State

Just got an e-mail from the club. Looks like we are definitely playing CSL by the way it reads. There wasn't a ton of doubt, but the emails speaks to it like a forgone conclusion as they indicated they updated our team name in CalSouth, CSL, tournament, etc software.

Sounds like we will also continue in our current LAPFC kits through State Cup as well, after which a replacement for mandatory pieces will be provided by the club.

Anyone know what is going on with Slammers NB. I haven’t seen them play since legends classic and they are not signed up for anything this next weekend??

I’m sure they are playing their own Slammers tournament this weekend (could confirm if the schedule ever comes out)

I noticed you guys (Team USA) have been pretty busy lately: 4 tournaments in a month or so!! That’s intense. Good work!
Yeah she (our coach) keeps us busy. The girls enjoy it, the families are pretty flexible, so it works. It feels weird having a weekend off away from a soccer field.
