National Cup

Blues 06 top team will be DA this upcoming season. Blues 07 top team will be ECNL. I’ve heard the club will need to make a DA vs ECNL choice the following year for all age groups.
Wouldn’t it be nice for all of the best players and teams to still be on the same platform.
ECNL 07 will have two very good teams in So Cal next year. DPL 07 in So Cal will be a much more well rounded and deeper league in terms of overall talent. What happens the following year is anybody’s guess.
If Baker's 07s are future Jserra students that make sense.

Point taken but Blues doesn’t have DPL. (because they also have ECNL - if I read between the lines DPL doesn’t want Blues third teams at the older ages). Since they have access to ECNL they may as well move their top 07 team there. Has nothing to do with Baker right now. Notice the 06 pathway. They are following the same.

Makes sense. And what about this ecnl2 talk I guess their 3rd team will eventually not be in SCDSL at u14 and up. Will there be any current SCDSL flight 1 south teams left next year? Not much and even less at u14

SCDSL U14 should look like this next year from what I can gather:
-3rd team from DA clubs after DA/DPL
-3rd team from ECNL clubs after ECNL/ECNL2
-5th or 4th team from Slammers after LAFC/Slammers/LAFC2/Slammers2(?)

Basically it means if you kid is any kind of player at all, get ready to drive to Arizona and/or Nevada in the fall.

This is a girls thread your posting on, and therefore I’m purely talking about girls soccer. - “glad I could clear that up for you.”

I would also define success on leagues as the best teams in the state competing in that league. I’m sure if you did your research, the winner and even final four of state cup over the last 5 years has almost always cane from SCDSL (still talking about girls soccer here). Now is this because of more wealth and money? Maybe so but you’re opening up a whole new can of worms that’s off topic.

Again my point wasn’t digging at just ECNL, but at the the majority of leagues and tournaments that all compete to attract the best teams for the end goal of finically gain. Unfortunately that’s the environment we live in and if our kids are to compete against the best we must follow what these guys do.

Other than you may have a girl that plays in the SCDSL league, your post doesn't make much sense. SCDSL "became better that CSL and SDDA" because why? Based on what metric? Profitability?

While there are some quality teams for both boys and girls in all the leagues, in general, over all (not factoring SDDA), on the boys side CSL is much stronger than SCDSL and on the girls side, SCDSL is much stronger than CSL. Glad I could clear that up for you. There is no disputing that there is more money on the girls side since Daddy is happy to spend whatever it takes to get his princess on a club team (and into college apparently) and pay for a fancy name. On the boys side, a lot of kids, baller kids don't want to pay anything. Also, why white people and fancy cars are more prevalent at SCDSL events/games. It is what it is and the mega clubs that started the league aren't dummies, they know this is all really about money over anything else for them. Not opining on whether it is good or bad.

Lastly, so it was OK for DA to come in and destroy a brand that was already serving the marketplace with a top level league but it is bad when ECNL begins "using all sorts of tactics" to protect the market and league that they created? Remember, DA could have done this long ago. they waited for someone else to take the risk and grow it into a profitable league and then decided they would try to take it over when they could have just worked with ECNL to implement some of the things they wanted to see.

HOW MANY TEAMS ARE IN AROZONA AND NEVADA ? THEY MUST TRAVEL ALOT COMING OVER HERE.

Last year's 06 DPL had two teams from Arizona (Utah Royals is from Arizona). Looking at the schedule, those U13 kids from SC Del Sol had to travel to SoCal four times last fall.............talk about insanity.

For SoCal, it's also a bit of luck of the draw since it's not a full round robin season for U13. I see Legends had to travel to AZ, but LA Galaxy did not.

JUST COST MORE$$$$$ FOR US ! LOL
WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT US?!?!?!?

At Blues, some ages DA #1 team, some ages ECNL is #1.....not sure there is much planning, its just up to what coaches they have for the birth year, where they want to coach and where the girls fall on to the teams.

I have been part of this soccer scene too long my friend. Its amazing how much has changed since my 18 and 21 started club soccer .

For age groups that have both ecnl and da, the only time the A team is ecnl at blues is if Baker is the coach. Otherwise, the A team is da.
