How's your girl's 09 season going?

Well the CSL results are in.

Eagles re-established their dominance in the North win a 4-1 over Juggle the World (Maybe Funclub can tell us more about the game). They are now 2 points clear with a game in hand.

In the South AVS vs BYSC ended 1-1 (must have been a hard fought game), while Team USA got their second straight win of the season vs Legends IE.

@Chalklines

I noticed SB have 2 yellow cards in the first 3 games, which is pretty unusual at this age. Particularly harsh/strict refereeing or just (maybe a tad overly) aggressive style of play?

Eagles played a slow first half, then the girls got their passing game down and put 4 goals away. Ole, is improving a lot. Always fun to watch them play.

Anyword on the south teams, blues, slammers etc??

We have played them twice recently. Lost in tourney 3-2 and then Saturday 3-1. I missed Saturday but DD had no recollection of anything out of the ordinary (and she would have as any 9 year old who’s likely never seen a yellow card before would have), but I’ll ask some folks. The tourney game I saw was totally normal. They have their physical players but nothing beyond any other strong team. They play an effective possession game with some finesse - not overly physical. Yeah - North currently looks like Eagles and everyone else so far - but they won’t have as many blow outs is my thought. I’d say the rest of the teams actually compete pretty closely with one another, but with our team (LAPFC) and MSA looking to get some wins in short order for that statement to hold up. Played yesterday - MSA scored the equalizer and the 3 whistles came within seconds after for a 2-2 draw.

Ok, here is the SRS predictor that I have. Some items to note...we have way more 2009 teams this year (217 at last count) and Excel solver can only handle up to 200 different teams when running its algorithm. And there are about two dozen 2010 teams that have played 2009 teams that helps in finding the best solution. That said, this is for all of the games I could find for 2018 (have not added most of the fall league games yet).
