CRL Play In Tournament - 06s (2018-2019) - Tech Specs.

When you say never wracking just make sure you clarify that it is nerve wracking for you. I bet if you ask your dd scrums, hard shots and PKs are all the same to her and not nerve wracking at all because she is confident in her ability otherwise she would not be playing goalie.
Absolutely, my other DD is a centerback so between the 2 kids the gray hairs are coming in fast as I cross my fingers that not only will their skill show but a little good fortune isn't bad either.

Group A and B wrapped things up and the standings are as follows:

Group A
  • Beach FC - 7 Pts.
  • IE Surf - 5 Pts.
  • Rebels - 4 Pts.
  • OC Surf - C. Swanson - 0 Pts.

Group B
  • Pats RA - 7 Pts.
  • SoCal Academy - 6 Pts.
  • SDSC - 4 Pts.

11 am Games
IE Surf 3-1 OC Surf "B"
Beach 2-0 Rebels
RSC 7-1 Beach FC - SB

Wow, I thought the Real So Cal vs. Beach FC-SB would be a closer match. Anybody see the game?
Technician72, thanks for the breakdowns, they are amazing.

Our girls came out flat and RSC has a player or 2 that can shoot from anywhere. They had the magic touch. Unfortunately for us, it looks like they spent all their goal is the 1st 2 games.

Tough loss but a good lesson for our girls.

Competition was good for being so early out of the gate. Excited to see these girls playing on the big field and knocking the ball around and using the extra space.

Quite a few quality teams that missed the cut. I had the chance to watch Rebels, SDSC, and Beach SB all who impressed me.

We were down in San Diego for another tournament and decided to go up to watch one of the tournament games because my daughter wanted to watch her old team play and quite frankly thought she was going to see quite a bit of goalkeeper action to learn from based on the score for AC Brea's first game loss of 7-1. We paid $12 for parking and we didn't see goalkeeper action because AC Brea played a great game against SoCal Academy. There wasn't that many shots on goal either. They still lost but 2-1 is nothing to be ashamed of against SoCal Academy.

I was impressed with all the teams in our group. You could tell that the kids were trying to connect and play possession.

14 teams. Still going to be 2 groups of 7 for group play with four teams advancing from each group to quarters, semis and final?
