Let’s call this “forum” what it really is

BRONZE
Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. Those who can’t teach, gossip on forums. As we’re neck-deep into NC, I find this forum quite underwhelming. -And I didn’t suddenly come to this conclusion, I chose to finally write about it after seeing a continuous massive contrast between reality and bullshit here.

Yeah, bring those bitch-ass fangs and nails out, you forum trolls. I’ll be busy on a field getting my “”DD”” trained - so hold your breath for my response while I put my “”DD’s”” progress on hold.

If you’re not yet a member, I hope you read this first - I’ll spare you the disappointment and time.

No one here will identify themselves or their “”DD””= accountability is non-existent so opinions are exponentially amplified (save the safety argument forum-dwellers, the topics are 100% subjective).

Due to the lack of said accountability, you’ll find tons of opinions, emotionally-driven perspectives, worthless predictions and once in a long while -you may cone across some meaningful insight. Consider this the -PEOPLE MAGAZINE- of the sport our daughters are playing. Click on any 2 discussions and see for yourself.

Keep this in mind: some people focus on DOING while others focus on TALKING. If you’ve ever competed at a high-level professionally or NCAA, this is not the place to inform yourself. Just talk to people and rely on what you see, and your experience.

Invest time into your daughter, not on this site. Be on the pitch, not on your phone. Know your daughter’s biggest fears, and biggest dreams. Learn for yourself; what you hear, see, touch and feel. Don’t worry about what’s going on here - this is rubbish built by people who are focused on things that might not be aligned with what your “”DD”” is capable of, or what you want for her.

Bring on the hate, we’ll be over here working. -And make the counter attack high quality, cause chances are it won’t be read (by me, at least).

Cheers.

Show me on the doll where they hurt you.

@tacos_7 ..... I appreciate where you are coming from. The great equalizer is those who have the (ahem) “guts” to post on the roll call. I agree that to many Are just simply trolls. There does exist a core group of solid, no BS, good people on this forum. Don’t let the few ruin the experience.

Dude you need a hug? Bad weekend? Too much high quality training? It is the crazy season for sure. Most on here can muli task. We can train the DD, go and watch games, etc. Many on here have all levels of players. From National team to the brand new club parent. The forum just like soccer can provide you many things. The ability to help others and the means to learn new things are just 2. But mostly you will get from the Forum what you want to get out of it. If you seek negative and anger than that you might find. If you want advice and connections from some fantastic people than you will find that also. I recently reached out to MAP and found their advice very helpful to our situation. Sometimes we all talk some smack to each other but we are all ok I think. Use it as a resource a sounding board or don’t. You don’t have to be on here. It’s voluntary. While I understood the premise of your post it does come off preachy, full of generalizations and not sure why you needed or felt the need to do it. If you are not checking responses than I wish you and your DD the best. If you are checking than feel free to DM me we are training tomorrow. You can jump in.

I am not hard to identify my DD plays for Legneds my handle should tell you everything. Yes I would go with taco truck tacos any day of the week throw in a Pepsi. My recommendation enjoy this forum and don't take it so serious.

I'm sorry you feel that way... I find lots humerous and I have found this forum informative and supportive. I've even made a couple of "friends" on here. A few who have stopped me and complimented my shy kid on a great game she had had. And on one occasion my husband had a grandparent go up to him and thank him for complementing their grand daughter on this forum (he had no idea what he was talking about... but figured it was his crazy wife in some way)

And my daughter plays for Legends South located in Temecula (the place many of u drive through to get to Norco) and she is number 3 ... tall (relatively) holding Center mid girl with light brown hair.

Good luck to all those left in NC!
